My furry assistant for a day. Unfortunately she isn’t a permanent team member 😦

A little bit about me

How can I help you with your business writing content?

My past life

For as long as I can remember I’ve loved reading and writing.  I enjoy the process of gathering information and crafting a story. Whether it’s telling a story to inspire and engage, or to make sense of complex concepts, I love drilling down and bringing a story to life.

As a product manager in the finance industry I had to read complex legislation and regulations and make it understandable for the average person. My time in the not-for-profit sector crafted my skills in conveying a message through a convincing story. Time in the trade industry let me enjoy writing in a relaxed, casual manner, while I had lots of fun along the way.

In a nutshell my writing style is versatile. Whatever you need, I will deliver.

Why work with me?

I get it. Trusting someone with your business content is scary, right?

How can I trust what she says? What if she stinks? What if she doesn’t get me or my business? These are all valid questions. I can’t wave a magic wand and make your concerns disappear, but I can tell you about my values and personality. Hopefully this gives you a bit of reassurance and an indication of if we would be a good fit.

I am:

  • Authentic. If you wouldn’t say it, I won’t write it. An authentic business is one customers’ trust. I don’t try to be someone I’m not. I won’t write your content in a way that presents your business as something it’s not.
  • Empathetic. I’m a business owner too. I understand how time and energy consuming it is to run a business. I’m here to relieve some of that burden.
  • Curious: I love research. Give me your topic and let me get into the nitty-gritty and spit it back to you in a polished form.
  • Flexible: I have written for various audiences requiring different tone of voice and style. From professional and serious to relaxed and comedic, I cater my writing style to your audience.

If you wouldn’t say it, I won’t write it.
